The Warning Information
The Warning is a rock band that was founded in 2013 by three sisters. The band was created in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The three founding sisters of the group are Paulina (drums, vocals, piano), Daniela (guitar, lead vocals), and Alejandra (bass guitar, piano, backing vocals). The Warning gained attention from bands like Muse and Coldplay for its 2014 cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman on their YouTube page. The cover has reached over 20 million views on YouTube as of April 2020.
The Warning started a GoFundMe page to release an EP of six original songs entitled Escape the Mind in 2015. In addition to the GoFundMe page, the trio received funding by Target and The Ellen Show to attend a 5-week long summer program at Berklee College of Music. The cover of Enter Sandman also led the sisters to have a guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on April 24, 2015.
Free Falling, a song from their EP, is featured in the video game Rock Band 4. Another song from their debut album entitled Survive was released as a free downloadable song. It was also a part of the "Rivals" expansion in 2016. The sisters performed at the TEDx University of Nevada twice, where they told their story of being a band of sisters in between songs.
Some of the other notable studio albums by The Warning are XXI Century Blood (2017), Queen of the Murder Scene (2018), and untitled third album (TBA) (2020). The band has been nominated for Independent Music Award 2019 for the category of Rock/Hard Rock.
