The Texas Tenors Information
The Texas Tenors is a vocal trio created in 2009 by pop singer Marcus Collins, opera singer John Hagen, and country singer JC Fisher. They have won three Emmy Awards for classical crossover. They were the highest-ranking vocal quartet in America's Got Talent history when they reached the final four in season four.
The trio's 2013 PBS show featured performances by The Phoenix Symphony of music from You Should Dream, their second studio album. In 2014, the self-produced special of The Texas Tenors was honored with five Emmy Award nominations and three wins. This milestone was added to the fact that the group was one of only two acts from America's Got Talent—the other being Jackie Evancho—to star in a television special for PBS.
The band has played over 2,000 shows in 20+ countries, including China and the UK. Released on September 8, 2017, The Texas Tenors' third studio album, Rise, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Classical Albums Chart, #1 Heatseeker New Artist Chart, and #22 on Top Current Albums. The group achieved their best charting positions and sales week in August 2017, when their second PBS special premiered.
In 2018, in response to fan requests, the three-piece band published A Collection of Broadway & American Classics only during their live performances and online. American Idol: The Champions featured The Texas Tenors in 2019. Their trio performance of "Unchained Melody" was well-received by both the judges and the crowd.
