The Powell Brothers Information
The Powell Brothers is an Americana/Country band founded in February 2014 by two brothers Taylor and Blake Powell. The group originated from Kingwood, Texas. The two members were both multi-instrumentalists who first toured together in 2006. Blake graduated from Kingwood High School in 2007, while Taylor graduated in 2010. The pair attended Berklee College of Music, and individually, they have worked as producers, band members, music directors, songwriters, and session players for 30+ international artists. These artists include Granger Smith, Haley Cole, Jon Wolfe, Drew Cline, Grace Pettis, Shane Smith and the Saints, and Tucker Jameson.
Taylor and Blake Powell decided to pursue a solo career in February 204 but instead formed The Powell Brothers. Chad Tolar joined them as a partner, and the three formed Tolar Powell Entertainment, LLC. It is a booking and management company based in McAllen, Texas. They shared the stage with many acts such as Granger Smith, Aaron Watson, Eli Young Band, Billy Currington, Lee Brice, The Bellamy Brothers, Randy Rogers Band, Eli Young Band, Big & Rich, and Pat Green.
The Powell Brothers regularly perform at legendary live music venues including The Rustic, Luckenbach, Texas, Dos Amigos, Gruene Hall, John T. Floore's Country Store, Brewster Street Ice House, Magnolia Motor Lounge, and Goode Company Armadillo Palace. They also tour nationally and perform approximately 160 tour dates scattered across 22 states annually.
