The Lovettes Information
The Lovettes is a lady ensemble that performs their original show “Leaders Of The Pack.” It is a musical bio that depicts the evolution of The Girl Group. “Leaders Of The Pack” by The Lovettes is said to be the world’s most authentic salute to the well-known women who changed music. It is a retrospective concert that is jam-packed with dance, harmony, and narration celebrating the major female artists and groups coming from the golden years of pop. This includes artists and groups from the 1940s and 1960s.
The Lovettes are fond of performing with their 5-piece band named The Lovers. The current Lovettes of the group include Darcy Jo Wood, Jess Lyons, and Tammi Savoy. Wood is known as a little lady with a big voice who is also the writer, producer, and creator of The Lovettes: Leaders Of The Pack. On the other hand, Lyons is a Chicagoan by way of sunny Florida, and she has spent most of her youth as tour manager, performer, and producer. Her rendition of “He’s So Fine” by Chiffons with The Lovettes honors the old and new Doo-Wop groups. The rendition is on PBS’ special “Doo-Wop Generations.”
Tammi Savoy was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, but calls Chicago, Illinois, her home now. She started singing at three years old. Apart from The Lovettes, she is internationally touring with her act “Tammi Savoy & The Chris Casello Combo.” In short, the leaders of The Lovettes are an ultimate “ladies night out” that appeals to all age groups.
