The Kills Information
The Kills is an English-American rock duo consisting of Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince. The Kills were created in 2001 by Mosshart and Hince, who had previously played in other bands. Discount, a punk rock band, used Mosshart as their frontman, and Blyth Power and Scarfo were among Hince's rock band credits. While Mosshart's band was touring England, they crossed paths with Hince, who was "staying in the flat upstairs from where [she] was staying" in London.
Little Bastards, the band's rarities collection from December 2020, had demos and B-sides spanning 2002 to 2009. The band had promoted the album a month earlier by making a virtual appearance as musical guests on James Corden's The Late Late Show, playing "Raise Me" from their home studio. "Rise," "It Ain't Water," and a rendition of Bruce Springsteen's "State Trooper" were among Mosshart's solo singles released last year.
With Jack White's support, the band returned triumphantly in June 2022, performing their first gig in nearly three years at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. The band's "New York" and "LA Hex" double A-side single, which came out in July 2023, was their first original music release in seven years. These two tracks were the first to promote the band's upcoming October 27, 2023, sixth studio album, God Games. Two more singles were dropped before the album's release: "103" in August and "Wasterpiece" in October.
