Jeff and Tommy Vee have played drums and doghouse bass, respectively, for almost 40 years, and their combined list of musical credits is too vast to list here. A veritable who's who of Rock & Roll royalty, including Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Paul McCartney, Peter Noone, Nelson, and of course, Bobby Vee, have all played, recorded, or toured with them.
In 2008, Jeff and Tommy banded together with their cousin Matt Vee and his skilled wife Julie Velline to form "The Killer Vees." After 13 years as guitarist and vocalist for Midwest legend Johnny Holms, Matt, now an outstanding performer in his own right, went on tour with Bobby Vee and other artists from the '50s and '60s. In addition to his solo career, Matt is a regular performer with "The Fabulous Armadillos."
Collaboratively, they have created critically acclaimed touring productions such "I Am He Said: A Celebration of the Music of Neil Diamond," "Remembering Bobby Vee," and "The Killer Vees: Classic Country." When they take the stage as The Killer Vees, they put on a high-energy variety presentation that features songs from their previous shows and classics from the Rock 'n' Roll, Country, and other genres that always go over well with American audiences.
