Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard (August 17, 2003), known professionally as Kid Laroi, is an Australian rapper and singer. Howard first became prominent through his connection to Juice Wrld, whom he met while touring Australia. As his fan base grew, Juice Wrld pushed him to sign with Grade A Productions, a Columbia Records/Lil Bibby joint venture.
His most famous hit, "Stay" (with Justin Bieber), reached number one on the charts in multiple nations in 2021. This included his home country of Australia, Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. He became the youngest solo artist from Australia to reach number one on the ARIA Charts and the US Billboard 200 with his 2020 debut mixtape, F*ck Love.
A couple of commercial re-issues followed: Both albums featured his singles "Without You" (from F*ck Love: (Savage)) and "Stay" (from F*ck Love: Over You, 2021), which were remixed by American singer Miley Cyrus and reached number ten on the Billboard Hot 100. He had moderate success with the singles "Love Again" and "Too Much" leading up to his 2023 debut studio album, The First Time. As far as Howard is concerned, he is not limited to any one musical style and finds equal satisfaction in composing hip-hop and pop songs.
