The Hooters Information
The Hooters are an American rock band formed in Philadelphia in 1980. Their sound is a fusion of folk, rock, reggae, and ska. Many of The Hooters' songs, such as "All You Zombies," "Day by Day," and others, were heavily played on radio and featured on MTV in the mid-1980s, when the band initially achieved large commercial success in the U.S. Tours across Europe have been a smashing success for the Hooters.
The 2008 summer European tour by the Hooters began in July and included stops in Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Switzerland. Last Call was a performance on October 23, 2009, at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia. Daryl Hall & John Oates, Todd Rundgren, and the Hooters were the headliners.
The Hooters went on a European tour and performed in the Philadelphia region in 2017, supporting their double album Give the Music Back. After more than a decade away from the U.S., the Hooters returned in May 2023 with the album Rocking & Swing and a tour that featured Rick Springfield.
