The Booth Brothers Information
The Booth Brothers is an American southern gospel vocal trio that was formed in 1957 by four brothers. They could not make it go longer and soon disbanded it in 1963. In 1990, one of the band’s original members named Ron Booth reformed the band with two of his sons. The Booth Brothers' current members are Paul Lancaster, Ronnie Booth, and Michael Booth.
The reformation of The Booth Brothers' idea came into Ron’s youngest son Michael’s head. Ron, Michael, and Ronnie began touring and performing all around Florida. They also recorded several albums. After eight years, in 1998, Ron decided to retire from the band as he was no longer in the situation of performing and touring with his sons. Both brothers started looking for the replacement of their father. The Booth Brothers recorded several albums with Joseph Smith. Later on, Jim Brady replaced Smith. Brady remained in the group till 2014. Eventually, Paul Lancaster came into the group and replaced Brady.
The Booth Brothers have been nominated for a Grammy Award for the category of Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album for their album Room for More. They have also been nominated for a few other awards throughout their careers. The band’s notable studio albums include Beyond the Cross (1993), Praise God Anyhow (1996), One of His Own (1996), Will You Love Jesus More (1998), Treasure These Moments, Volumes I & II (1999), and several others.
