The Association Information
The Association is a pop band that originated from California and was founded in 1965. The current lineup consists of Bruce Pictor (drums, vocals, percussion), Jim Yester (rhythm guitar, vocals), Jordan Cole (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Del Ramos (bass, vocals), Jules Alexander (lead guitar, vocals), and Paul Holland (lead guitar, vocals). However, there is a long list of past members, as The Association underwent numerous lineup changes.
"Along Comes Mary" was the first national break for the Association that became number 7 on the Billboard charts. The first album by the band was And Then... Along Comes the Association (July 1966), which was produced by Curt Boettcher. It was followed by a second album entitled Renaissance, released in November 1966.
Other notable albums by the Association are Insight Out in 1967, Birthday in 1968, The Association in 1969, Stop Your Motor in 1971, and Waterbeds in Trinidad! in 1972. Three songs by the Association have sold over one million copies and are certified platinum discs. These songs are "Never My Love," "Cherish," and "Windy." The band won the Rock Justice Awards on January 18, 2019. The Association was also inducted into the Pop Music Hall of Fame in 2016.
