After the success of the tracks "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me" from her 2008 album Fearless, which incorporated elements of country pop, she rose to popularity.
Pop album Lover (2019) and autobiographical documentary Miss Americana (2020) followed Swift's renewed contract with Republic Records in 2018. She released the indie folk and alternative rock albums Folklore and Evermore in 2020, delved into chill-out styles on Midnights in 2022, and re-recorded four of her first six albums as "Taylor's Versions" after a disagreement with Big Machine.
Swift is the only performer to have the first week of release of five albums in the US sell over one million copies, and she has sold over 200 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling musicians ever and one of the most streamed artists on Spotify.
