There is no denying the infectious joy that radiates from singer/songwriter Tayla Lynn. When she talks about her past, her loved ones, and most of all, her work, you can hear the love in her voice, see the honesty in her icy blue eyes, and feel the warmth radiating from her very being. Lynn was born into one of Nashville's most famous musical families, which helped to foster in her an early love of music and the stage. To this day, she still vividly recalls the time her Memaw took her on stage when she was just four years old. Lynn explains, "I opened my mouth and immediately began singing."
Lynn's first significant musical endeavor after signing with Skyville Records in 2007 was the trio Stealing Angels with Caroline Cutbirth and Jennifer Wayne, which originated from their appearance on a reality show in which all three ladies participated. Lynn's capacity to reflect on her own life has been crucial to her career as an artist, a wife, and a mother; Stealing Angels was simply the tip of the iceberg for her when it came to recording and working in the music industry. Her 2016 debut solo effort, The Ranch, was inspired by her grandmother Loretta Lynn as well as her experiences with the trio, a cross-country move, drug addiction, recovery, and years of hard labor.
