Taylor Noelle Watson, born on April 6, 1993, in Tyler, Texas, was a barber/hairstylist. Watson released her first song, "Lewis & Clark," in 2017, followed by "Na Na" in 2018. The 2018 release of her song "Trapper's Delight," premiered on the YouTube channel WorldStarHipHop, marked her debut. Over 1.2 million people watched the music video in under a month. In November of that year, she dropped her first EP titled DUH!
Singles "High School," "2k," "Ride Around," and "IMAX" all came out this year. Her first mixtape, Hurricane Tay, featured 16 songs and guest appearances by DaBaby and YNW Melly and was released the same year. Watson's March 2020 single "Bussin" has gone viral, garnering a lot of attention across various social media platforms, particularly on the video-sharing app TikTok. Watson and Saweetie dropped a new version of "Bussin," dubbed "Bussin 2.0," in July 2020.
Watson's "Circus" music video, directed by DrewFilmedIt and premiered on October 2, 2020, was a collaboration between the two artists. On December 11 that year, she dropped her first album, Blockedt. Saweetie appears on the October album "Brat" by Mulatto and on the October remix "Bussin 2.0" by Saweetie. Watson inked a recording contract with two major labels in 2021. She also said that she was recording her first full-length CD.
