Tash Sultana (June 15, 1995) is an Australian music producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter born in Melbourne, Australia. Tash Sultana grabbed the world’s attention in 2016 when their bedroom recording of Jungle went viral, racking up millions of views. Their sound is a vibrant mix of soul, reggae, psychedelic rock, and looping magic, with Sultana playing over a dozen instruments live. Their 2018 debut album, Flow State, earned them a spot on global festival stages, including Coachella, and won an ARIA Award for Best Blues and Roots Album.
Starting as a busker on Melbourne’s streets, Sultana built a loyal fanbase with raw talent and homemade videos. Tracks like "Mystik" and "Murder to the Mind" became fan favorites, showcasing their soulful voice and intricate guitar work. They sold out London’s Brixton Academy in 2017 before even releasing an album. Their 2021 album, Terra Firma, delved deeper into personal themes, solidifying their place as a genre-defying artist revered for their electric live shows.
In 2025, Sultana is hitting the road with their Return To The Roots USA Tour. They played San Diego’s Rady Shell on June 10 and Houston’s Bayou Music Center on June 18. They’ll perform at Spokane’s Knitting Factory on June 25 and at Woodinville’s Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery on June 28. Their new EP, Return to the Roots, drops in August.
