Sweet and Tender Hooligans were formed in 1992 by Jose Maldonado. The Smiths were dissolved in 1987, so in answer to the legendary band’s dissolution, the tribute group began playing its hit covers. The group received positive acclaim, which led the members to make their way to the United Kingdom, where they did sold-out shows. The band was able to attract the heads of BBC.
