Spin Doctors Information
The Spin Doctors is an American rock band. The current lineup of the group consists of Aaron Comess (bass, drums, and keyboards), Mark White (bass), Eric Schenkman (guitar and backing vocals), Chris Barron (lead vocals). The band is known for its early 1990s hits such as “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and “Two Princes,” which reached 17 and 7. Spin Doctors signed with Epic Records/Sony Music A&R executive Frankie LaRocka in 1990.
In August 1991, Spin Doctors released its debut studio album entitled Pocket Full of Kryptonite. Soon after releasing the album, the band started playing extensive live shows and started to gain grassroots fans. In June 1994, the band came up with its second studio album entitled Turn It Upside Down. The album wasn’t as successful as its previous albums, but it still managed to sell a million copies in the United States.
Other studio albums of the Spin Doctors are You’ve Got to Believe in Something (1996), Here Comes the Bride (1999), Nice Talking to Me (2005) If the River Was Whiskey (2013). Notable singles of the band include “What Time Is It?”, “How Could You Want Him,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” You Let Your Heart Go Too Fast,” “Can’t Kick the Habit,” and “The Bigger I Laugh the Harder I Cry.”
In 1994, Spin Doctors was nominated for the American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Album and was nominated in the 36th Grammy Awards for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
