Spamilton Information
Spamilton is a musical parody of Hamilton, the famous Broadway show, written and directed by Gerard Alessandrini. The show first previewed on July 19, 2016. The show opened on September 8, 2016, at New York's Triad Theatre and was initially scheduled to run 18 performances. The Chicago production of Spamilton opened on March 12, 2017, at the Royal George Theatre. The London production opened at the Menier Chocolate Factory, running from July 24 to September 15, 2018.

Spamilton majorly received positive reviews from critics such as Ben Brantley at The New York Times called it a "smart, silly, and often convulsively funny thesis." The play won the Off-Broadway Alliance Award 2017 and was nominated for Drama League Awards (Distinguished Performance, Outstanding Lyrics, Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical); Outer Critics Circle Award (Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical), and Theater Fans' Choice Awards (Best Off-Broadway Musical); all for 2017.
