SG Goodman Information
S.G. Goodman is a musician and composer from the United States. Hickman, Kentucky, is where Goodman entered the world. Goodman played in bands before launching her solo career, including The Savage Radley. Old Time Feeling, her first full-length, was co-produced by My Morning Jacket's Jim James. Americana, folk, country, and rock are all genres used to characterize the album. Verve Forecast Records has hired her. As a solo performer, she performed at the Newport Folk Festival that July of 2021.
Goodman's second studio record, titled Teeth Marks, was released by Verve Forecast in June 2022. While some tracks on the album were played with a capo to achieve this tuning, she typically performs with her guitar tuned down a whole step. The opioid epidemic is addressed in "If You Were Someone I Loved," the album's fifth track. Because Goodman's first record came out during the pandemic, it was not supported by a major concert tour. Thus, the performance for Teeth Marks marked her debut as a solo performer.
