Sean McConnell Information
Sean McConnell is an American singer and songwriter whose music is defined as a country, folk, and root music. From Massachusetts, both of his parents are folk singers. At eleven, McConnell moved to Georgia with his family. He began songwriting and playing guitar soon after the move. McConnell later went to Middle Tennessee State University, located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
McConnell released his debut album at 15. The album entitled Here in the Lost and Found came out in 2000. Five more full-length albums followed along with three EPs. All the discographies came out as self-issues between 2003 and 2014. Some of his notable albums are 200 Orange St (2003), Faces (2005), Cold Black Sky (2006), Saints, Thieves, Liars (2009), Midland (2012), Sean McConnell (2016), Undone (2017), and Secondhand Smoke (2019). His three EPs are Tell The Truth (2007), The Walk Around (2009), and The B-Side Session (2014).
McConnell has written songs for many well-known artists such as Martina McBride, Buddy Miller, David Nail, Meat Loaf, Tim McGraw, Jason Castro, Scotty McCreery, Jimmy Wayne, Brothers Osborne, Plain White T’s, Eli Young Band, Phil Stacey, and Brad Paisley. He also wrote music for the television show Nashville. McConnell performed songs on the Texas musicians Wade Bowen and the Randy Rogers Band’s albums and was an opener for Browen on his nationwide tour.
