Scott Stapp has a birth name Anthony Scott Flippen (August 8, 1973). He is an American singer, songwriter, and musician who is best known as the lead vocalist as well as the lyricist of Creed (rock band). Stapp is from Orlando, Florida. His music style is described as post-grunge, hard rock, alternative rock, and heavy metal. Stapp has also fronted the popular band named Art of Anarchy.
Being the lead vocalist in the Creed band, Stapp has released many successful albums such as their debut album My Prison in 1997. This album sold six million copies. Some of the other music composed by Creed includes singles like "My Prison," "Torn," "What's This Life For," and albums such as Human Clay in 1999 ( a diamond certification as well as eleven times platinum certification by RIAA), Weathered in 2001, and Full Circle 2009. Greatest Hits and With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective are the two compilation albums by the band.
As a solo artist, Stapp released many successful singles and albums among which, the most hit ones are The Great Divide 2005, Proof of Life 2013, and The Space Between the Shadows 2019. His Live album is entitled Live and Unplugged, released in 2017. Some of his hit singles are "Purpose for Pain," "Name," "Slow Suicide," "The Great Divide," and a few more.
Stapp also performed in many successful past tours including Creed Tours 1994-2001, The Great Divide Tour (2006-2007), 2010 Unplugged Tour, 2011 - 2012 Tours, Make America Rock Again Tour (Headlining) (2017), Live & Unplugged Tour (2017), Summer Tour 2018, The Space Between the Shadows Tour (2019), and a few more.
