Sarah Brightman Information
Sarah Brightman (August 14, 1960) is an English songwriter, actress, musician, singer, dancer, and classical crossover soprano. She was born in the Hertfordshire town of Little Garden, not far from Berkhamsted. Brightman began her musical training at three with piano and dancing courses.
After she had mastered both, Brightman started entering competitions and participating in community festivals. Brightman attended Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham, the Arts Educational School in Chiswick, and the Royal College of Music for her formal training in her field.
She made her stage debut in the musical I and Albert when she was just 13 years old in 1973. She played Queen Victoria's daughter in a musical shown at London's Piccadilly Theatre. When "The World Was Full of Married Men" was released in 1979, Brightman contributed to the film's music.
She performed a cover of "Madam Hyde." Japanese singer and composer Yoshiki launched his digital single "Miracle (Sarah's Version)" on November 16, 2018, and it quickly made it to the top 10 on the classical music charts on iTunes in 15 countries.
Brightman scheduled a world tour for the rest of 2019, culminating in her return to London's Royal Albert Hall for the first time in over 20 years. She planned with special guests Narcis, Vincent Niclo, and Yoshiki to appear on the Hymn album. Brightman joined the judging panel of the Hulu Japan talent program Yoshiki Superstar Project X in 2022.
