Sam is adored by followers of modern comedic art, who have called him "the weird voice of a surreal generation" (Denver Post). He was featured as a New Face at this year's Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, triumphed on Comedy Central's Roast Battle, hosted the Denver episode of VICELAND's Flophouse, and made an appearance on the Chris Gerhard Show to woo a girl.
His short fiction has appeared on VICE.com and in BIRDY magazine, and his debut novel, Running the Light, was published by Too Big to Fail Press in 2020 to widespread praise. His family—wife, canine companion—makes a home in Colorado.
