Ruthie Collins (March 10, 1984) is an American recording artist, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Fredonia, New York. She was brought up listening to gospel music at her church, and her mother, who was both a pianist and an organist, was the one who introduced her to classical music. She received her education at the Berklee College of Music. Can You Duet was a singing competition that aired on CMT in 2007, during which time Collins and Victoria Gordon were members of the country duo Wild Honey and competitors on the show.
Collins later pursued a career as a solo artist, signing with Curb Records in 2011 and releasing her debut self-titled EP the following year (2014). Alongside the release of her debut full-length album, Get Drunk and Cry, in 2016; she also debuted her accompanying short film. On April 3, 2020, she released her album Cold Comfort, and the following year, in 2021, she went on tour to support the album. On January 7, 2022, an extended edition of her most recent album, Cold Comfort Plus, was available for purchase.
