Rich the Kid (July 13, 1992) is an American rapper born in Queens, New York. As a kid, the rapper listened to 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Jay-Z, and 50 Cent. Black Boy Da Kid was his original rap alias, but he eventually adopted his current alias.
Been About the Benjamins, his first solo mixtape was released in 2013. That year, he and Migos collaborated on Streets On Lock (volumes 1 and 2), followed by volume 3 in 2014 and volume 4 in 2015. Feels Good 2 Be Rich, his second solo mixtape, was released in August 2014 and included Migos, Young Thug, Kirko Bangz, Rockie Fresh, Stalley, Soulja Boy, RiFF RaFF, Jeremih, K Camp, Young Dolph, Yo Gotti, French Montana, Chinx, and Kodak Black among others. Rich the Kid released the song "On My Way" in November 2014; it features Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel from the GS9 collective.
His third mixtape, Rich Than Famous, which included YG, Migos, Bobby Shmurda, Rowdy Rebel, Gucci Mane, Johnny Cinco, and PeeWee Longway, was released in December 2014. Rich the Kid's first put out in 2015 was a mixtape he made with Migos called Still On Lock. He released Flexin' on Purpose in August 2015.
