RDGLDGRN Information
RDGLDGRN, pronounced Red Gold Green, is an American band. The current lineup consists of Pierre Desrosiers, aka Green (vocals), Andrei Busuioceanu, aka Gold (bass), and Marcus Parham aka (guitar). In 2012, they recorded their debut album with producer Kevin Augunas and engineer Clif Norrell at Sound City Studios. The group has collaborated with various artists, including Dave Grohl and Pharrell Williams. In September 2013, RDGLDGRN released their self-titled debut full-length album.
In Reston, Virginia, the band members met through mutual connections. RDGLDGRN wrote their breakout song "I Love Lamp" in the fall of 2011 and published their self-produced and directed music video on YouTube, where it quickly surpassed 100,000 views. RDGLDGRN recorded its debut album at Sound City Studios in the spring of 2012 with Kevin Augunas, producer and founder of Fairfax Recordings. Indie go-go is a hybrid of indie rock and go-go, a syncopated Washington, DC rhythm.
In 2014, RDGLDGRN was featured in Dave Grohl's HBO documentary series Foo Fighters Sonic Highways' Washington, DC episode. This episode debuted "The Feast and the Famine," the second song off the Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways album, which features Grohl's bounce beat from RDGLDGRN's "I Love Lamp."
