Pressing Strings Information
Pressing Strings is an Annapolis, Maryland-based trio composed of Nick Welker: Bass, Jordan Sokel: Guitar/Vocals, and Brandon Bartlett: Drums. The current lineup was established in 2014, and the trio began developing its fanbase in the mid-Atlantic.
Pressing Strings began performing shows from Pennsylvania to the Carolinas. Later, the trio headed into the studio to record its debut album. Owe The Source was the first album, released in 2015, having mixed a thoughtful soulfulness and sweet rock and roll. The group returned to the road to promote their first album.
Pressing Strings soon linked up with Grammy-winning producer and engineer Scott Jacoby. Together they headed to upstate New York to record another album entitled Most Of Us. The album came out in 2016, and to promote their second album, Pressing Strings toured coast-to-coast in 2017 with songstress Rachael Yamagata.
Some of the notable singles by the band are “Brave,” “On The Wire,” and “The Madness.” The band’s latest album is entitled Settle In, having been released in the spring of 2020.
