PJ Morton Information
P.J. Morton (March 29, 1981) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He has been playing keyboards for Maroon 5 since 2012. After Jesse Carmichael's extended break (he rejoined the lineup in 2014 playing rhythm guitar), Morton became an official member in 2012, while he joined the band in 2010 as a traveling member.
Following My First Mind was Morton's first extended play (EP) as a solo artist, released in March 2012 via Young Money. The lead single "Heavy" featured Adam Levine and James Valentine. The first album Morton published with a big label, New Orleans, was out in May 2013. Morton said in April 2019 that he would establish a museum and community center on the site of the New Orleans house of jazz pioneer Buddy Bolden after restoring it.
The Piano CD, Morton's live CD, was recorded in 2020. Paul and Gumbo both have songs on it. Morton finally dropped his much-anticipated gospel album, Gospel According To PJ, on August 28, 2020. Paul's earlier album, "Don't Let Go," included Kim Burrell. You Believe, featuring Yolanda Adams, was a part of "Christmas With PJ Morton."
