Pique Dance Studio, founded in Manotick, ON, encourages its students to follow their ambitions by providing a safe space where they are accepted and encouraged to do so. Koran MacArthur opened the school in 1997, and now enough students are enrolled to warrant eighty weekly instruction sessions. In the summer, they provide dance camps for kids and adults, including an intense program for those interested in dance.
Skilled instructors lay a solid foundation based on the internationally recognized British Association of Teachers of Dancing syllabus. Jazz, tap, ballet, musical theater, modern, and hip-hop are offered to students of all ages and skill levels. Acroyoga and strength training are also part of the program. Adults may get their groove on and learn new skills, while boys can bond in "boys only" lessons.
