Peter Bjorn and John are an indie pop/rock band that originated from Stockholm, Sweden. The group was founded in Stockholm in 1999 by Morén and Yttling. The band is named after the band's members, that is, Peter Morén (vocals, guitar, and harmonica), John Eriksson (drums, percussion, and vocals), and Yttling (bass guitar, keyboards, and vocals). The music of the group is defined as indie rock, indie pop, psychedelic rock, and new-psychedelic. Some of the initial discographies by the band are Forbidden Chords EP along with singles titled "I Don't Know What I Want Us to Do" and "Failing and Passing."
The group released its first self-titled album in 2002 through the label Beat That! This was followed by more EPs such as People They Know and 100m of Hurdles along with a single "See Through." The band switched labels to Planekonomi in 2004 and released another EP entitled Beats, Traps, and Backgrounds EP. It was followed by the 2004 album Falling Out.
Some of the other notable studio albums by the band are Writer's Block, Seaside Rock, Living Thing, Gimme Some, Breakin' Point, Darker Days, and Endless Dream. A few of the other EPs by Peter Bjorn and John are 100 m of Hurdles, (I Just Wanna) See Through/Say Something Else, Young Folks The Remixes, and It Don't Move Me.
Peter Bjorn and John also released many hit singles such as "Young Folks" and "What You Talking About."
