Pale Waves Information
The English rock band Pale Waves formed in 2014 in Manchester. When lead singer/guitarist Heather Baron-Gracie and drummer Ciara Doran met at the University of Manchester, they formed the band Creek—Hugo Silvani on guitar and Charlie Wood on bass round out the group. The first two Pale Waves albums can be categorized as indie rock or synth-pop inspired by the 1980s, whereas their third and fourth albums are more closely related to the pop-punk subgenre.
Pale Waves' first single, "There's a Honey," and their second, "Television Romance," were released after the band signed a record deal with Dirty Hit in 2017. The band placed fifth in the BBC's 2018 Sound of poll and won the NME Under the Radar Award at that year's NME Awards. All the Things I Never Said, Pale Waves' first EP, was released in February 2018, then on September 14, 2018, their full-length first album, My Mind Makes Noises, was published.
Released on February 12, 2021, the band's second album, Who Am I?, peaked at 3 on the UK Albums Chart and no. 1 on the UK Independent Albums Chart. Unwanted, the band's third studio album, came out on August 12, 2022.
