Omah Lay Information
Stanley Omah Didia (May 19, 1998) is a Nigerian singer. He is known by his stage name Omah Lay. He was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Lay went to Comprehensive High School in Rivers State, and after that, he attended the University of Port Harcourt. His father also played drums. He started his career under the stage name Lil King and joined a rap group. He soon began to write songs as well as music production. In April 2019, he released “Do Not Disturb.”
In June 2019, Lay signed a record deal with KeyQaad. He took a few months break from his music routine, and on his return, he released a single entitled “Bad Influence.” The single became his most streamed Nigerian song on Apple Music. He released another single, “You,” on February 14, 2020. Lay’s five-track debut EP, Get Layd, came out on May 22, 2020. The EP reached number one on the Nigerian Apple Music Charts. All the songs reached the top 15 of the Apple Music charts in Nigeria.
Lay has signed a record deal with Dvpper Music Distribution for local and Sire Records for international distribution. Lay released another single entitled “Understand” on July 8, 2021.
