Oliver Tree Information
Oliver Tree Nickell (June 29, 1993) is an American musician born in Santa Cruz, California. He began performing under "Tree" in 2010 as a solo artist. He had already done presentations for shows featuring artists like Skrillex and Zeds Dead. Until he joined R&S Records in the fall of 2013, he distributed his work independently, releasing an album titled "Splitting Branches" in the first quarter of that year. In his first band, a ska group called Irony, he got his start as a singer and guitarist.
Singles for "Cowboys Don't Cry" and "Freaks & Geeks" from Tree's second album, Cowboy Tears, were released on January 12 and February 4, 2022, respectively. On February 18, 2022, Cowboy Tears was released. Tree released their first song, "I Hate You," on May 20, 2022, and then released "Placeholder" on July 15, 2022. In addition, he would declare a tour in support of Cowboy Tears. After Cowboy Tears, he released a remix of Ugly is Beautiful's "Jerk" and a non-album single named "Miss You" with German music producer Robin Schulz.
Tree and David Guetta's "Here We Go Again" was Tree's first single of 2023, released on March 3, 2023. A single titled "Bounce" was released by him on June 20 to follow this one. On the same day he debuted the song live at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre, he also announced that itl serves as the lead single off his upcoming third studio album, Alone in a Crowd.
