Nathy Peluso, born Natalia Peluso on January 12, 1995, is an Argentinean performer, choreographer, and educator. Peluso, born in Argentina and reared in Spain, developed an early appreciation for the performing arts and began singing cover tunes at local pubs while still in her teens. Once Peluso finished her studies at King Juan Carlos University, she moved to Barcelona to launch a professional music career. Her debut albums, Esmeralda (2017) and La Sandunguera (2018) were both self-created.
In recent years, Peluso has been gaining popularity in Spain. Following her contract with Sony Music, she began working on her debut album, Calambre (2020), which went on to win the Latin Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album. After teaming up with Bizarrap on "Nasty Girl," Peluso found commercial success and became viral on social media in Latin America thanks to her stage demeanor and unique blend of hip-hop, soul, and world music.
She has worked with Christina Aguilera, Karol G, and C. Tangana, the latter of whom she teamed up with on the smash hit "Ateo," which topped the Spanish charts upon its release. Peluso's work has been recognized with numerous accolades, including four Premios Gardel and a Latin Grammy Award (one of six nominations).
