Michael Clem Information
Michael Clem (January 6, 1966) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter from Atlanta, GA. When he was young, his family relocated to McLean, VA. When Clem was in 5th grade, he picked up the guitar and the trombone. He shares his early musical influences to be The Beatles and Bond movies.
Michael Clem has been playing bass, writing songs, and singing since 1991 for the national touring act that he co-founded. The touring act, entitled Eddie from Ohio EFO, has a massive grassroots following. He released nine CDs (all independently) under this act and collected countless Washington Area Music Association Awards. The EFO slowed down in 2008, and Clem decided to relocate from Northern Virginia to Charlottesville. He established a good foothold in the music scene after settling there and founded an acoustic trio.
Fifty Clementines was the better-late-than-never sophomore album that was released ten years after Clem’s first solo album. Clem decided to gather 30 friends from all over Virginia to contribute to the fine Charlottesville JLM Studios. They soon faced smashing successes in early January 2016 due to the formation of a killer five-piece band, fused with his trio, and a regular Monday night house band from The Local in Charlottesville.
