Mia Joy Information
Originally from Oak Park, Illinois, Mia Rocha is now better known by her stage name Mia Joy as an American indie rock singer. Rocha was a longtime Chicago Children's Choir member as a child. Rocha launched her career as a musician in 2016 when she and some friends started a band and released music named Mia Joy. Rocha and her new group of musical friends put out an EP under the name Gemini Moon the following year.
Several years after the EP, Rocha released a string of solo songs under her name. Rocha's signing with Fire Talk Records and the subsequent publication of the single "Haha" occurred in January 2021. On May 7, 2021, Rocha's first full-length album, Spirit Tamer, was published via Fire Talk.
