Mezerg Information
Marc Mezergue is a French keyboardist and producer, better known as Mezerg. Mezerg was born in Bordeaux and raised there. At the young age of 19, he enrolled in the Bordeaux Conservatory of Music. After that, he attended the University of Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée to continue his education. In 2016, as part of a self-produced festival called "Festival sur les rails no. 1," he played the upright piano in a Bordeaux tram.
In 2017, he left Bordeaux for Hungary by hitchhiking with his upright piano in tow to perform at the Sziget Festival. After this, Mezerg began to criticize the French and foreign press. In 2022, he embarked on a tour across North America and Europe and was later honored at the Music Moves Europe Awards.
Mezerg uses keyboards to compose dance music with electronic and techno influences (synthesizers or pianos). As a one-man band, he plays all the drums (bass, snare, and cymbals) and all the keyboard parts (bass, harmonies). His theremin playing is sporadic at best. His musical concept is the "Piano Boom Boom" by the man himself.
