MerleFest Information
MerleFest is one of the country's best bluegrass and Americana music events. It takes place every year in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. The event was started to honor Merle Watson, the famous Doc Watson's son. It has become a place where fans of both old and new roots music can get together. Bluegrass, folk, and country music were all celebrated at the 2023 event, which had many different acts, from well-known legends to up-and-coming artists.
In 2023, Alison Krauss, The Avett Brothers, Sturgill Simpson, and other acts played at MerleFest, which was attended by thousands of music fans. The event was great for folk and bluegrass music fans to spend the weekend because it was laid-back and set in the beautiful Appalachian mountains.
