Matt Walden Information
Matt Walden (December 28, 1994) is an American singer and songwriter. He was born in Bradenton, Florida. His mother put him in piano lessons when he was six, and he kept at it for a decade. In front of attentive audiences, he played Beethoven and Bach in local churches during his early concerts. Walden began taking guitar lessons when he was nine years old and continued through his early adolescence, taking additional classes when he was 15.
In high school, he honed his guitar skills by watching instructional videos on YouTube and honed his songwriting chops by dissecting popular song structures, including verses, choruses, and bridges. Just Another Story, one of his earliest songs, was about a girl who didn't realize a boy liked her. Walden's debut original single, Flipped the Script, was made available via iTunes on May 16, 2015. The record peaked at No. 38 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Chart in the days leading up to its release.
Walden worked with producer Raven Chapman to capture the tune at the Del Couch Music Education Foundation studio. One year ago today, on June 17, Walden uploaded a live studio song performance to his YouTube channel. Released on iTunes on July 7, 2015, "Life" is a five-song EP by Walden. On its first pre-order day, it debuted at No. 7 on the iTunes Singer-songwriter Album list. Flipped the Script, Dreams, Be Someone, I Wanna, and Nowhere to Be Found are some tracks featured on the EP.
