Marshmello Information
Marshmello (May 19, 1992) is the stage name of Christopher Comstock, an American producer and DJ born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The singles "Happier" (with Bastille), "Silence" (with Khalid), "Friends" (with Anne-Marie), "Wolves" (with Selena Gomez), and "Alone" have been certified multi-platinum in numerous countries and charted in the Billboard Hot 100.
In early 2015, Marshmello rose to fame after releasing remixes online. Released in January 2016 as part of his first studio album, Joytime, Marshmello's "Keep It Mello" was his first commercial single. In May that year, Monstercat, a Canadian record label, released the platinum-certified track "Alone".
When Marshmello performs live or appears in a music video, he dons a white helmet shaped like a marshmallow. At first, nobody knew who he was; however, in April 2017, Forbes revealed that he was indeed Comstock. The UEFA Champions League Final 2021 began with a performance by Marshmello in May of that year.
Marshmello's fourth studio album, Shockwave, was released on June 11, 2021. It was released independently by the producer's label, Joytime Collective. Marshmello received his first Grammy nomination for this album on November 23, 2021, when it was revealed that it had been nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Coke and Marshmello worked together in 2022 to make a special edition strawberry and watermelon taste for their 'Coca-Cola Creations' line of soft drinks. The cans were designed to reflect Marshmello's distinctive style.
