Marie-Mai Information
Marie-Mari Bouchard (July 7, 1984) is a Canadian singer from Varennes, Quebec, professionally known as Marie-Mai. Initially, Mai was known as one of the Quebec finalists on the show “Star Academia.” She cultivated her interest in music when she was a young girl. At an early age, Marie-Mai started learning piano and participated in musical theatre.
Mai released her debut album entitled “Inoxydable” on September 28. 2004. Fred St-Gelais produced the album, and in France, it was released in 2006. Many of the album’s singles hit the Quebec charts.
On August 28, 2007, Marie released her second album entitled “Dangereuse Attraction.” The album earned Marie-Mai a gold certification in August 2008 for selling over 50,000 copies alone in Canada, eventually being certified platinum.
Marie-Mai has worked with a few record labels throughout her career, including Musicor Records and Warner Music France. She released other notable albums after the release of Dangereuse Attraction, including Version 3.0 (2009), Miroir (2012), M (2014), and Elle et Moi (2018).
