Louis Andrew Grammatico, professionally known as Lou Gramm, is an American singer. His most famous role was lead singer and co-founder of the rock band Foreigner, which he led from 1976 to 1990 and from 1992 to 2003. During this period, the band released several hit albums and songs. As a member of Foreigner, Gramm was chosen for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024.
He became famous in the 1960s and became synonymous with that decade. The musician left an unforgettable mark on music history with hits like "I Want to Know What Love Is" and other classics. Singles from his 1987 solo album, Ready or Not, including "Midnight Blue," peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Two years later, with Long Hard Look, he rewrote rock music's rules.
