Lorrie Morgan Information
Loretta Lynn Morgan (June 27, 1959) is an American country music singer from Nashville, Tennessee, and the daughter of country singer George Morgan. Morgan made her first performance at the age of 13, on the Grand Ole Opry stage. She was brought up on stage by her father to perform "Paper Roses" and her performance received a standing ovation.
At the start of her career, Morgan worked as a receptionist, songwriter, and demo singer for Acuff-Rose Music. With this same company, she was able to sing with one of the company's labels named Hickory Records label. Two singles were released in 1979 entitled "Two People in Love" and "Tell Me I'm Only Dreaming." Some of her other notable singles so far are "Trainwreck of Emotion", "Dear Me," and "Out of Your Shoes."
Leave the Light On was the debut studio album by Morgan that was released in 1989. It was followed by Something in Red, Watch Me, Merry Christmas from London, War Paint, Greater Need, Shakin' Things Up, Secret Love, My Heart, and many more. She also released compilation albums such as Reflections: Greatest Hits, The Essential Lorrie Morgan, and To Get to You: Greatest Hits Collection. Morgan has contributed to many collaborative works, including the Eagles tribute album Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles.
