Lollapalooza Information
Lollapalooza started in 1991 as a farewell tour for the rock band Jane’s Addiction. The band’s singer, Perry Farrell, helped create the idea. What began as a one-time show quickly became one of the world's biggest music festivals. People loved how it combined rock, punk, rap, and electronic styles. It was something new and exciting, and it kept growing every year. Fans from all over came to see their favorite artists perform live in one place.
Over the years, Lollapalooza featured many famous acts. Bands like Pearl Jam, Green Day, and Red Hot Chili Peppers played in the early years. Later, stars like Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and Billie Eilish took the stage. The festival became known for more than just music; it had cool art, good food, and a fun crowd. Lollapalooza expanded to other countries like Brazil, Argentina, Germany, and Sweden as it became more popular. Each festival kept the same fun energy that fans love.
In 2024, Lollapalooza occurred in Chicago from August 1 to August 4 at Grant Park. The lineup included big names like SZA, Blink-182, Tyler, The Creator, and The Killers. The event had multiple stages and nonstop live music all weekend. Fans danced, sang, and enjoyed summer in the city.
The 2025 lineup is set to include Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Luke Combs, A$AP Rocky, Gracie Abrams, and Doechii.
