Christopher Charles Lloyd (April 30, 1982) is an American rapper. He is professionally known by his stage name, Lloyd Banks. Christopher Lloyd is of mixed Puerto Rican and African-American ancestry, born in New Carrollton, Maryland, and reared in Queens, New York City. Along with boyhood buddies 50 Cent and Tony Yayo, Banks began his career as a member of the East Coast hip hop group G-Unit. Lloyd went to August Martin High School but dropped out when he was 16 years old.
Banks' first solo album, The Hunger for More, was released in 2004 and featured the top 10 hit single "On Fire." Rotten Apple, his second studio album, was released in 2006. Banks departed Interscope Records in 2009 and signed with EMI the following year, along with the rest of G-Unit, to release his third studio album, The Hunger for More 2, on November 22, 2010.
Banks announced the release of a new song, "Beamer, Benz, or Bentley," featuring Juelz Santana, from his planned third studio album in late January 2010. The Hunger for More 2 (H.F.M. 2) album was published on November 22, 2010. On October 18, 2011, Banks featured Juelz Santana on Queen's Rapper Trav's hit "Ride The Wave." He has appeared in a few films as well, including Before I Self Destruct (2009), Morning Glory (2010), and Sleepless (2017).
