Simbiatu "Simbi" Abisola Abiola Ajikawo (February 23, 1994) is a British actress, rapper, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Islington, London. Her stage name is Little Simz, and she is well-known in the industry. Simz began her acting career in 2010 as Vicky in the BBC children's series Spirit Warriors and 2011 as Meleka in the E4 television series Youngers. She plays Shelley in Netflix's revival and third series of Top Boy, which premiered in autumn 2019.
Her music is described as rap and experimental by her. While she is most closely associated with the grime genre, she has also drawn inspiration from reggae, blues, synth-rock, and jazzy R&B. Simz has shared the stage with artists such as Estelle, Tinie Tempah, Ms. Dynamite, and Kano. Simz has played at venues including Rising Tide, iluvlive, Industry Takeover (Urban Development), Hackney Empire, Somerset House, and the House of Lords.
On December 16, 2016, she released Stillness in Wonderland, her second studio album. It was inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and was accompanied by a comic book, an art display, and a festival. She was the vocalist for the song "Garage Palace," featured on the Super Deluxe edition of Gorillaz's album Humanz, and she was the opening act for Gorillaz during their Humanz Tour in 2017.
