Lilly Hiatt Information
Lillian "Lilly" Alice Hiatt (April 26, 1984) is an American, Nashville, Tennessee-based songwriter and singer. She is from Los Angeles, California, and grew up on a farm with her father, his third wife Nancy Stanley Hiatt, and siblings. Hiatt started playing music at the age of 12 when she got her first guitar from her father. It was a 1953 parlor-size Martin. Hiatt graduated from the University of Denver in 2006, earning her a degree in psychology.
Hiatt founded a band in 2005, Shake Go Home. The group was based in Denver with fellow students from the University of Denver. After graduation, Hiatt moved the band to Nashville, where they recorded many EPs. The lineup of the band includes Eric Knutson on guitar, Jeff Montoya on bass, Hiatt, and John Arrotti on drums.
Hiatt released her debut album entitled Let Down in 2012, produced by Doug Lancio. Royal Blue was her second album that came out in 2015. These were recorded under a group called Lilly Hiatt and the Dropped Ponies.
Trinity Lane was the third album by Hiatt, which was released in August 2017. Two of the other notable discographies by Hiatt as a solo artist are 2020: Walking Proof and 2017: Luck Mansion Sessions. She also appeared in 2008: John Hiatt – Same Old Man (New West), 2011: Across Tundras – Sage, and 2012: Ronnie Fauss – I Am the Man You Know I'm Not. Hiatt was nominated for Americana Music Honors & Awards 2018 for the category of Emerging Artist of the Year.
