Wes Jones is a producer, DJ, and electronic artist who hails from the United States. He is better known in the music industry by his stage name, Le Youth. He was born in Toledo, which is located in Ohio. He is well-known for merging R&B with dance music from the 1990s, and he formerly hosted a monthly radio show on Capital Xtra called Le Youth's Friday Night House Party. James was born in Ohio but now calls Los Angeles, California home. He spent his childhood in Ohio.
Le Youth rose to prominence on the internet after his tune "Cool," which featured a sample from Cassie Ventura's song "Me & U," quickly racked up more than 200,000 listens on SoundCloud in a relatively short amount of time. Ultra Records picked up the single, and on July 2, 2013, the Cool EP was made available to the public. Renata Raksha was the music video director for the song, and it was first made available to the public on April 9, 2013. Record of the Week on BBC Radio 1 was awarded to "Cool" on July 22, 2013, and the announcement was made.
