Lauren Daigle (September 9, 1991) is an American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter. She was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana. How Can It Be was her first album, in 2015 after signing with Centricity Music. Three of its songs, "First," "Trust in You," and "O'Lord," all peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Airplay list, while the album itself was certified platinum by the RIAA.
Daigle dropped the lead track "Thank God I Do" on March 8, 2023, from her upcoming album of the same name. The tracks "Waiting" and "New" preceded her debut offering. The May 12, 2023, the fans saw the release of her album.
With 25,000 A&R equivalent units (of which 20,000 were album sales alone), Lauren Daigle debuted at position number twenty-one on the US Billboard 200. She now has four albums in a row that have debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart, and this one is no exception. This year, she gave an appearance at Austin City Limits. She sang the national anthem at the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship 2020 in New Orleans.
Although "Thank God I Do" was not included on the US Billboard Hot 100, it peaked at 11 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. It also reached the top spot on the Billboard Christian Songs list for the week ending May 20, 2023. On March 13, 2023, the song was available on Hot AC radio.
