Klingande Information
Cedric Steinmyller (May 14, 1990) is a French tropical house producer and DJ. He was born in Croix, Hauts-de-France, and is professionally known by his stage name, Klingande. Klingande was founded in December 2012 by Steinmyller and fellow Frenchman Edgar Catry (born in 1990). Catry and Steinmyller first met at the Cross School in northern France when they were both ten years old.
Steinmyller was more interested in teaching music theory when they weren't DJing, while Catry spent over four years honing his piano skills. After graduating high school, Steinmyller decided to spend a year in London attending Point Blank Music College. The two had gotten to know each other after Steinmyller returned to his hometown from London, and it was then that they realized they shared an appreciation for deep house producers like Bakermat and Nico Push.
As time went on, Klingande came into being. Klingande's self-released debut single, "Punga," was well-received and finally reached number 86 on the French Singles Chart. The song also reached the top 10 in Austria (at number 62), Germany (at number 59), and Switzerland (at number 41). The following year, on January 1, 2013, they released the single "Jubel," which quickly became a worldwide hit. It's no secret that Lauren "LYON" Malyon contributed uncredited vocals to Klingande's 2017 track "Pumped Up," which then went on to chart in four countries.
