Kerri Chandler Information
Kerri Chandler (September 28, 1969) is an American record producer and house DJ. Chandler's upbringing in a family of jazz musicians in New Jersey was formative for him. Joseph Chandler Sr. was a DJ, so he had a head start understanding the history of soul, disco, and the New York Underground Sound. Going with his father's band, he started spinning records at the Rally Racquet Club in East Orange, New Jersey, when he was just thirteen.
At the young age of fourteen, he began working as a studio intern and eventually went on to become a successful music producer. Chandler has released almost a hundred records since his 1991 debut, "SuperLover/Get It Off," on Atlantic Records. A pioneer of the New Jersey sound style of deep house or garage house, he was also a resident DJ at Newark, New Jersey's Club Zanzibar, in the 1980s.
Not to be confused with Dave Kelly's reggae label of the same name, he started the house music label Madhouse Records, which signed artists like Roy Ayers and Dennis Ferrer. He recently started the techno label MadTech Records, whose artists include No Artificial Colours, Citizen, Kashii, Waze & Odyssey, and Waifs & Strays. Kaoz Theory, his third record label, was created by him in 2016. It has already featured albums from well-known musicians, including Jamie Jones, Satoshi Tomiie, Seth Troxler, and The Martinez Brothers.
